Volunteers Needed For
The Rochester Area Cluster
of
The Nurturing Network

The Nurturing Network is an international nonprofit organization that offers practical help to women in crisis pregnancies by offering them an alternative to abortion. Many of these women are young professionals or college students who find themselves ostracized or too embarrassed in their current situation to stay. TNN offers to put them into a "cluster" in another community. A cluster is a group of different people offering resources to make the birth alternative more attractive, feasible, and available to these women.

We are trying to start a "cluster" here in the Rochester area and are inviting others that are willing to help in the following ways:

  • Host families
  • Free or reduced prenatal care
  • Temporary employment
  • Facilitate college transfers
  • Counseling
  • Donor (Currently over 88% of all expenditures are allocated directly to client services and are tax deductible)
  • Transportation (or a loaner car while client stays in someone else's home)

TNN was featured on CBS' "48 Hours" and "Focus On the Family" and tapes are available for review. To learn more about this organization or to volunteer please contact the area cluster coordinator, Cathy or The Nurturing Network directly at 1-800-TNN-4MOM (1-800-866-4666) or e-mail at tnn@nurturingnetwork.org or visit them at The Nurturing Network
